This past Monday my class and I went to VisArts to see the Scholastic Art Awards Gallery. It was such a treat to see all of the amazing artwork created by students in our area. The variety of styles and mediums was truly inspiring.

As I walked around the gallery, I couldn't help but be in awe of the talent on display. From intricate pencil drawings to bold and colorful muppets (yes, muppets), there was something for everyone to appreciate. It was clear that each piece had been created with care and passion.

Some of my favorite pieces included a stunning drawing of a baby filling out a job application, titled "Slow Down", a well-rendered and intensely lit scene of a dynamic between stuffed animals, and a colored pencil illustration of a girl drifting on a bridge with VanGogh-esque swirls in the background. Each piece told a unique story and left a lasting impression on me.

Overall, the trip to VisArts was a wonderful experience and a reminder of the power of art to inspire and connect us. I left feeling inspired and grateful for the opportunity to see such incredible talent on display.
