Home Project #1 Progress Post

For this home project, I hope to incorporate and practice techniques with shadows and lighting, and having an interesting composition that features a good figure-ground relationship. I'm excited to use the extra time given in the home project to practice some more shadow work before implementing those skills and techniques into my final piece. Here is what I have so far as of 9/23. I have sketched in the proportions and filled with marker and black paint the darkest parts of the figure's shadows. I am so excited to continue with this piece!
