Q1 Figure Drawing Reflection

Below are 4 drawings that represent my development in our figure drawing unit. During our time with our guest artist Tommy Van Auken, I learned a ton about the process of figure drawing and observing movement in life. I learned how to draw proper proportions and how to translate the figure I saw in front of me onto paper. I learned how to use charcoal to draw and how to draw with my whole arm versus just my wrist. In the future, I want to work on my value and shading of figures. Of course, in a short amount of time it is not possible to get fine detail, but I would at least like to try and indicate a light source and shadow when drawing figures in the future.
