Wood Carving

In this new project, my class was prompted with the idea "It's About Time". For my own brainstorming, I decided to take this prompt literally, so this carving is about time, and how I perceive it. I view time as something relative, formless and unending, as well as confusing and overwhelming. I tried to demonstrate how time can suck you in with this piece by using a spiral shape and having a pit in the wood as the main focus point. I am not finished with the project yet, and I still have to add a lot of depth and detail, but I am very happy with how it is progressing!
